During the Covid crisis with the help of donations SRST was able to distribute urgently needed food parcels to the communities most vulnerable, including the disabled the many sadhu monks, and lone widows. These wonderful souls had previously relied on begging and free Prasad food given by Ashrams and Temples, which had closed due to restrictions. The boys helped with parcels for workers who were stranded miles from home and local villagers who had lost their livelihoods. Several hundred parcels of dry goods were handed out during the first phase of lock down, helping save lives and give hope to hundreds of people.
